why sidewalk studios?

musicians today are bartenders, waiters, cashiers, babysitters, tutors, baristas, or retail workers. they need these jobs in order to make the money they need to fuel their creative passions, while keeping a roof over their head and food on their plates. this often leaves no extra money to spend on studio time, or the equipment necessary to create the music that lives inside of them. furthermore, streaming has stripped the artist of the money they need to create. there is no more physical commodity, no more vinyl record or CD. to be a musician of this era is to be a rock climber without boots, or a nascar driver without a car. sidewalk studios aims to solve this.

sidewalk studios is the collaborative space that exists between Jack and the artist. it is neither him, nor the artist. it is the conduit between them and the music.
